Movie 100 Privacy Policy

What We Store

For each account, we store the following user information on the server only:

  • A unique randomly-generated anonymous userid associated with the account.

  • If you logged in via Google, your email address.

  • If you logged in via Facebook and you consented to sharing your email address, your email address.

For each account, we store the following user information on the server and on your device:

  • For each movie: whether the movie is on your wishlist, whether it is marked as watched and whether it is marked as a favourite.

For each account, we store the following user information on your device only:

  • Your current movie list preferences, such as sort order, filter options and whether the list is displayed in list format or grid format.

To store the above information, we use servers which are managed by Google.

We do NOT store your password.  Your password is stored and managed by Google or Facebook, depending on how you log into the app.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to personalise the app's functionality, for example to display the movies which are on your wishlist. Storing your movie data centrally allows it to be shared between your devices, and carried forward when you change your device.

In the future, we may aggregate your data anonymously with other users' data.  For example, we could use it to list the most popular movies amongst the app's users, or to suggest movies you may like, based on what other users with similar favourite movies like.

Sharing Your Data

We will not publish your data.

We will not share your data with any third parties.

Removal Of Your Data

Please contact us if you wish us to remove the data associated with your account which is stored in our database.

PLEASE NOTE: If you logged in via Facebook and did not consent to sharing your email address, we are unable to identify or remove your data, as it is stored anonymously.  If this is the case, we recommend deleting your film data (such as wishlist) using the app.
